You're Gonna Be Okay. Promise.

This whole week the Lord has been speaking this urgent message of HOPE to share with those that have been feeling down, discouraged, depressed, despondent, downcast. The message of HOPE and LOVE have been resounding.

Before recording this morning’s IG LIve, I asked the Lord to lead me to a passage that would minister to people. In the game of Bible roulette, I opened to Ecclesiastes 4:

Oppression, Toil, Friendlessness

Again I looked and saw all the oppression that was taking place under the sun:

I saw the tears of the oppressed—
    and they have no comforter;
power was on the side of their oppressors—
    and they have no comforter.
And I declared that the dead,
    who had already died,
are happier than the living,
    who are still alive.
But better than both
is the one who has never been born,
who has not seen the evil
that is done under the sun.

And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person’s envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.

Again I saw something meaningless under the sun:

There was a man all alone;
he had neither son nor brother.
There was no end to his toil,
yet his eyes were not content with his wealth.
“For whom am I toiling,” he asked,
“and why am I depriving myself of enjoyment?”
This too is meaningless—
    a miserable business!

Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
10 If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.

Have you been disappointed by your pastoral leadership?

I have been reflecting on my journey of faith and different church experiences I’ve had over the years. I’ve coached and counseled several people who have testified to the harsh reality that they’ve reached out to different Christian pastors and leaders and invited them to journey with them through the hard and dark times of life and found they were either unwilling or unavailable. I’ve been there. It hurt. Bad. I was disappointed and for a long time I held judgement over my leaders.

Until…

I experienced the other side of it. I’ve had several “friends” unfollow me after blaming, shaming, slandering, accusing and “calling me out” because I disappointed them by not being there when/how they needed me. Instead of having a quality, Kingdom conversation and sharing their heart with me and allowing me the opportunity to own what I need to own, apologize, find reconciliation and restored relationship…hearing me out…they just slammed me and cut me out of their lives.

Here’s an invitation:

I know what it’s like to process pain. I know what it’s like to walk through the process of digging out the cancerous roots of bitterness, unforgiveness, offense and judgment from my heart. I learned to check my expectations and I’ve learned where/who I can go to get the mentoring, pastoral care, advice, counsel and encouragement from.

And here’s where I’d like to offer you the chance to step into healing, be heard, and process through the tough stuff of life. I’d like to offer you (or someone you know) a free 30-minute coaching call. In this time together we can pray and see what Holy Spirit has to say and also get to know each other and see if we may be a good fit to continue some healing coaching sessions together. Maybe that’s the next step we feel led to take…or maybe we just get a beautiful 30 minutes of conversation and connection. Either way, no pressure. It’s simply my honor to get the chance to chat with you.

If you feel the Holy Spirit pulling on your heart to book a call…my encouragement is not to hesitate. It’s easy. You can just click this button to get access to my calendar and then book whatever time is convenient for you! Simple.

Maybe God is putting someone on your heart that could really be blessed with this…would you consider forwarding this link off to them and encouraging them to book a time with me? I’d be truly grateful!
